Bali Arts Festival 2014 has been took place during a full moon on June
14th 2014 and plan to close on July 12 2014, at the Denpasar
Cultural Park ( Bali Art Center ), opened by the President of the Republic of
Indonesia, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono. 36th Bali Arts Festival ( Pesta
Kesenian Bali ) this year with the theme "Kertamasa". Kertamasa means
the dynamics lives an agrarian society to the welfare of the universe.
As is tradition that has been going on since the first, the opening has
been held open, preceded by a parade of art from a variety of Kabupaten /
cities in Bali and invited participants from other regions continuing with variety
of arts performances schedule, from morning to night.
Bali Provincial Government as organizers put out a budget of about 560000
dollars. Most of the budget spent to give to arts groups will perform for one
month. All kinds of art coming from all districts in Bali. They will be engaged
to enliven this annual event. With the aim to keep preserve and maintain the
existence of arts in Bali, in order not to disappear because of the changing
times.
In addition to arts performances, PKB XXXVI 2014 also held an exhibition of handicrafts and arts. With the aim to encourage creativity and empowerment of traditional activities and crafts arts society. In this exhibition held in two (2) categories: active and passive exhibition, and will be shown a demonstration utilization palm, traditional medicine (Usadha), paint. Grouping exhibition stand set into jewelry handicrafts, clothing, traditional handicrafts, souvenirs and others, which are hand-crafted products, especially from Bali, and a small proportion from other regions of Indonesia as a participant.
