Tumpek Landep

Tumpek Landep feast is a series of Saraswati feast, which on this day Hindus perform gratitude for the blessings that have been given by Ida Sang Hyang Widhi Wasa in its manifestation as Ida Bhatara Sang Hyang Pasupati. The differences between Tumpek Landep Feast and Saraswati feast is that during the holidays of Saraswati, Hindus perform gratitude on the descend of science which is implemented by make an offering to various knowledge sources, such as books, papyrus, inscriptions and various sources of literature and science of other knowledge. While the feast Tumpek Landep saying grace over to Ida Bhatara Sang Hyang Pasupati who have  intelligence and sharpness of the human mind which of these thoughts give birth to a sense of creativity and human initiative in creating something (output) that can simplify life for achieve happiness.

In the times and technology, the feast of Tumpek Landep  not only make an offering to sacred objects / heirloom like keris weaponry and equipment, but also other objects which have positive benefits that provide ease in all the activities and human life. The additional offering to the objects that often we see in the day of Tumpek landep include: motorcycles, cars, bicycles, computers, laptops, machinery factories, and other objects.

rd itself comes from "Metu" which mean met, and "Mpek" which means the end, so Tumpek mean when  Panca Wara and Sapta Wara falling at the same day, which is Panca Wara close by Kliwon and Sapta ended by Saniscara (Saturday). Landep is means sharp or pointy, then from this consecrated also some treasures possessing sharp as a dagger.
